With an estimated release date of mid-March, the SilverpointGo app will include a wide range of travel-related features and will be available as a free download to both members and non-members.
No matter which mobile device you prefer – the app will be available for both Android and iOS – the SilverpointGo app is the perfect on-the-go companion for travellers looking for the lowdown on their holiday destination.
Locations where Silverpoint resorts are based benefit from an in-depth overview, including sections on “Accommodation”,” Location”, “Going Out”, “What to Do” and “Good to Know”.
Each featured venue – restaurants, resorts, theme parks etc – has a social media overlay which enables users to share the information with their chosen social network and “check in” with location-based, social networking websites such as Facebook and Foursquare.
Users can also book accommodation at a Silverpoint resort or request more information about the company and its range of holiday products and promotional offers.
SilverpointGo also benefits from a maps feature, enabling the user to pinpoint the location of any venue that they are interested in visiting.
The “Rest of the World” section includes a collection of “Dream Destinations” to entice users’ interest in exotic locations, as well as a “Travel Search” feature that utilises Freebase content to provide comprehensive information about anywhere on the planet.
Silverpoint’s CEO – Mark Cushway – had this to say about the upcoming release: “research and feedback has shown that more and more of our customers are accessing their information via phones and mobile devices.
